Resident owner, Rod Baverstock and his dedicated staff, welcome you to the famous Somerset boarding kennels, of St Giles Kennels and Cattery offering excellent, caring boarding facilities for dogs, cats, small family pets and caged birds. Set in 3 acres of attractive South West countryside in the village of Wrantage, just outside Taunton, only 5 minutes from the junction 25 of the M5 .

In addition to normal boarding facilities where the pets come for their holidays, we offer a day care creche for dogs and cats . Dog and cat grooming , microchipping and a shop full of training equipment , including folding cages and crates are available , including vet bed- all available on Mail Order.  Plus our export and collection and delivery service throughout the UK and Europe.

Dogs lost in the Somerset area are looked after on behalf of South Somerset, West Somerset, Taunton Deane, Mendip and Sedgemoor Councils .

Adoption of dogs in Somerset when the dogs are not reclaimed. We put them up for adoption and find new homes for the unwanted and rescued strays . Our main breeds we always seem to have are adopt a lurcher , adopt a Jack russell,adopt a staffie , adopt a GSD , adopt a collie , adopt a rotti , adopt a JRT

Opening hours

7 days a week (excluding Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years day and Easter Sunday)  8.30 am til 5.30pm .

For viewing the stray dogs the times are 10am til 4pm
