St Giles is responsible for caring for many of the county's stray dogs. If they are not claimed after the required period of time we put them up for adoption. The dogs are microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and wormed before being re homed. We carry out home visits to ensure all of are dogs are matched to the correct owners.

A Greyhound? We are currently bording Greyhounds on behalf of the Greyhound Trust, Unfortunately Greyhounds are very much portrayed in the wrong light they are not high energy fizzy dogs they are bred to do a short sprint and that is what they do best, 90% of the time they are the laziest breed of dog you can come across, they absolutely love a big bed or sofa to sleep on.

They make great family pets because of there very kind gentle nature, all of our Greyhounds are neutered, vaccinated and wormed before leaving.  They are a very elegant breed and just need the chance to show how amazing they really can be! Could you give one of our 40 mph couch potato a home???

Staffordshire bull terriers are often shown in a very bad light by the media. From our experience at St Giles kennels we have made our own minds up on staffies, and we think you should too!  If you are intersted in opening your mind to the staffie then come down and see us.

We are always looking for volunteers to spend time with our dogs, we are also very open to foster placements. A foster placement gives the dogs that extra chance of finding a really good permanent home.
